A New Dodge has Joined the Force!

"A new Dodge has joined the force. The Broward County Sheriff’s Department in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, already well stocked with more than 200 Dodge Chargers, has now added several high-powered Challengers to its law enforcement fleet. For deputy Tom Sheridan, the choice was a no-brainer for the fleet’s Aggressive Driving Enforcement unit: “They’re a full-sized, rear-wheel drive V8-powered car that’s larger than the competition — the Chevy Camaro and the Ford Mustang — but they share a lot features and performance of the Charger,” he says. Among the features that this car does not have in common with everyday Challengers: front and rear radar systems, a higher top speed, and a Mopar Cold Air Intake system for improved performance and gas mileage." See "Accidental Mummies" for less with Dodge!

Dodge has a proud history of supporting cultural and educational community activities, sponsoring exhibits like "Splendors of Ancient Egypt," "Van Gogh: Fact to Face," and "On the Edge: Contemporary Art." This year, the company brought a very cool exhibit "Accidental Mummies of Guanajuato" to the Detroit Science Center. The 10,000 square-foot exhibition space showcases 36 mummies on loan from the Museo de las Momias de Guanajuato in the city of Guanajuato, Mexico, giving a fascinating look into a mysterious natural mummification process that no one fully understands - as well as insight into the lives of the people who lived in Guanajuato more than 100 years ago.
This is the first time any of these accidental mummies have been seen outside of Mexico. And the good news for anyone living in or traveling to Detroit is that Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, and Jeep drivers can simply show their keys to get a discounted entry price of $19.95. But don't dawdle - "Accidental Mummies of Guanajuato" will only be on display at the Detroit Science Center until January 31st before moving on to six other North American cities. See amazing images of the exhibit, as well as a video tour by clicking on the link. http://accidentalmummies.com/

Finally, Get Live TV on the Road!

It's an age-old quandry: It's time to hit the road for that family trip, but the playoffs are on. What to do? At long last, now you no longer have to choose between mobility and entertainment. Last month, Chrysler became the first automaker to offer live mobile television inside it's vehicles through FLO TV Auto Entertainment, which allows you to browse up to 20 channels - from ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX to ESPNH, MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon - using a wireless remote control; the system's tiny antenna is practically hidden (unlike most roof-mounted satellites). The Mopar package costs $629 (plus installation) and is offered on new Dodge, Ram, Chrysler and Jeep vehicles - and can even be installed on some 2009 models. Call us 1-800-636-4265, and let us help you get Mobile!

Best in Show: The Dodge Viper!

January 20, 2010 Red Letter Dodge.
The people have spoken, and it's no wonder they're singing Dodge's praises! The 2010 North American International Auto show. With it's signature crosshair grille, deep-cut side scallops, and swept-back fenders, the car is always a crowd pleaser. Thinking about getting on board? There are more than 7,600 custome configurations available to make yours stand out. Choose from 12 colors, six stripe options, five interior color combinations, four wheel sets and three interior bezels. The 2010 model has a new hood with a larger scoop and louvers for better cooling (with a 8.4-Liter, 600-horsepower V-10 engine underneath, it could certainly use it). But some things never change: it has the same red push-button starter and resulting throaty growl characteristic of a Viper. It's certainly easy to see how 100 reader-judges called the iconic car the most expressively styled vehicle at the show! Now, if you could only decide which color to get...

Watch How a Dodge Challenger is Made!

Think of it as the untimate field trip for grown ups: Peter Carey and a video crew visited Chrysler's Brampton Assembly Plant in Ontario to get a true behind-the-scenes look at the assembly process for the Dodge Challenger. In this video, he learns it takes about 24 hours to take a Challenger from framing to the end of the line, with more than 2,400 workers building Chrysler 300's, Dodge Chargers, and Challengers at the plant. Something is going on pretty much everywhere you look at Brampton - even above your head! http://bit.ly/8M3JhE
